The Dumb Download Page

Thank you for deciding to download DUMB! I hope you enjoy it. But before you go ahead: here are some things to bear in mind. 1) DUMB's not a completely working game, it's a game engine and a work in progress. So, don't expect an out of the box shoot 'em up. 2) I like working on DUMB, but it's not my job; part of what keeps me going is the hope that it'll be appriciated. Complete C (or C++) sources for version 0.13.11 This is a snapshot of the master source tree, containing all you need to build your own copy of DUMB for X, svgalib, or GGI on a variety of platforms, as well as the tools XWad and XProtoThing. You will need either to have installed netpbm, or downloaded the DUMB wadfiles from the binary distribution.

A sample game for version 0.13.x This is a sample game that you can play if you don't want to play Doom or Heretic with DUMB. It is also a good example of how to create your own.

Binaries for various systems. A range of pre-compiled executable binaries and wad files for various different platforms. You will need a game "IWAD" for Doom, Doom II, or Heretic, too. (shareware ones will work fine).
